Smart Contract FAQ
Hung runs every limited and Roblox user trade through our Base smart contract. No custodial wallets, no off-platform chats; just transparent, on-chain escrow.
How the escrow works
Start with the friendly walkthrough or flip to the deep dive for contract-level detail.
- Buyer locks the money: tap “Fund escrow” and approve the wallet prompt. The payment goes straight into the Hung contract—neither the buyer, seller, nor Hung can move it alone.
- Seller hands over the item: the seller delivers the limited, username, or account access, then marks the deal as sent. Screenshots or proofs can be attached for usernames if we need to double-check.
- Both sides confirm: when the buyer is happy, they approve release; the seller does the same. If someone disappears or disputes it, Hung support can add the second signature after reviewing the evidence.
- Contract pays out: two approvals trigger an instant payout to the seller. If a refund is agreed, the contract sends the full balance back to the buyer instead.
You can watch the escrow balance from your Hung dashboard or on a Base block explorer at any time—it only moves once the contract finalises the deal.
Deal timeline at a glance
- Buyer creates or accepts a listing, chooses one of our supported currencies, and funds the escrow with a signed wallet transaction.
- Seller delivers the limited, username, or user access and marks the deal as sent. Optional proofs can be attached for usernames.
- Both parties approve the outcome inside Hung. If either side ghosts, Hung joins as the third signer to resolve it.
- The smart contract releases funds to the seller or refunds the buyer, and the transaction stays publicly verifiable forever.
Quick answers
- Which assets can I escrow?
- Roblox limiteds, premium usernames, and verified user transfers. Everything flows through the same escrow regardless of item type.
- What crypto is accepted?
- BTC, ETH, LTC, XMR, SOL, USDC on Base. Pick your currency when creating a listing or submitting an offer.
- How do disputes work?
- Escrows require two approvals to finish. If one party stops responding, Hung can review receipts, verify proofs, and apply the second signature directly on-chain.
